Occupied Building Risk Assessments

Our team has extensive experience in the evaluation of risks to buildings subject to fire, blast and gas hazards. Our structures team can undertake occupied building risk assessments (OBRAs) to advise on:

• Hazards requiring consideration in design
• Mitigation measures to ensure risks to occupant safety are as low as reasonably practical (ALARP)

For proposed buildings in areas of risk, IKM will make structural design recommendations to ensure the structure, cladding, windows/doors, and HVAC systems will withstand any thermal, blast, and toxic gas releases.
