Responsibilities

The role will involve working within an experienced survey team, on a variety of sites throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK, utilising RTK GNSS, Total Stations & Laser Scanning equipment. Due to the nature of the work, a flexible approach to working hours is essential, as is a willingness to stay away when necessary.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out land surveyor duties
  • Support the day to day operations of the survey team
  • Ensure high quality site and drawing deliverables
  • Working with IKM engineering team to support multi disciplinary projects.
Qualifications

We’re looking for a candidate with the following experience and qualifications:

  • More than 2 years’ experience of Land Surveying:
    • Topographic surveys
    • Measured building surveys
  • A good knowledge of the latest survey technology including: Robotic Total Stations & GPS Receivers (Trimble/Leica), AutoCAD experience, LSS (preferred but not essential)
  • Good experience of processing survey data and issuing drawings/reports
  • Experience of preparing method statements and risk assessments
  • Appropriate academic qualifications
  • Competent working alone and in teams
  • A flexible approach to working and a willingness to stay away from home when necessary
  • Driving licence.
