As a part of Global Energy Group Capital (GEG), we’re expanding our networks with offices now in both Grangemouth and Runcorn.

Our business is growing, and we have exciting opportunities for talented individuals to join, develop and grow with IKM! Our engineering roots stem from projects in Chemicals, Industrial Manufacturing, and more recently, Onshore Renewables and Hydrogen.

We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic graduate civil / structural engineer to strengthen our Engineering team and be a proactive part of our growth journey. Based in Grangemouth and working with our Projects Team, you will work with a wide array of talented civil and structural engineers on exciting and challenging projects. We will ensure you have design and site based opportunities in our primary business sectors.

We are committed to Investors in Young People and operate an Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) approved training scheme. We will provide you the opportunity to develop your career towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status, assigning a Delegated Engineer and Supervising Civil Engineer to support career aspirations.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be given early responsibility for a workload that is fast paced and variable.  Duties could include:

  • Civil and structural engineering design, from concepts stages through to detailed design.
  • Preparing design calculations, structural models or spatial work.
  • Temporary works support for designs such as crane pads or propping.
  • Inspection and assessment of existing structures and assets.
  • Production of high quality reports and written work.
  • Assisting with Health and Safety duties and proactively identifying and reducing risks on projects
  • Supporting project managements tasks to monitor programme and costs
  • Commitment to Personal Development
  • The role may require some travel within the UK
Qualifications
  • You will be BEng, MEng or MSc qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office.
  • Good written and spoken English, and interpersonal skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to attend client sites, as required.
