IKM attended Larbert High School World of Work Day providing an interactive workshop for S1 pupils. Pupils were set a spaghetti tower challenge, a STEM learning activity, which required them to build the highest tower possible using limited materials (spaghetti, marshmallows and sellotape). The teams were given a few minutes to plan and discuss their towers before starting building. The team which built the highest tower within the time duration won. This allowed the pupils to think about the design process and promotes the use of basic civil/structural engineering concepts. A big thanks to our engineers Kirsten Paxton and Calvin Bennie for attending and representing IKM.
