Brief
IKM were appointed to undertake a feasibility study & subsequent scheme design & Planning Application for a new visitor centre and retail facility within Tarbert, Loch Lomond National Park.
The project was to focus on sustainability issues, and to reflect the area's natural heritage with a contemporary slant. The building was to become a focal point for visitors to Tarbert and the surrounding area, providing well needed revenue into the local community.
Solution
IKM prepared a number of initial concept layouts and worked with the Client, the National Park Authority Planning Department and landscape architects Ironside Farrar to produce the final design for the Planning Application. Detailed design statements were also produced, and 3D animated images - all to aid the Planning Process.
