Brief

Due to a lack of suitable, blast resistant office space within the Process Site, our Client decided to relocate its office based personnel away from the Plant, thereby removing any level of risk associated with blast safety.

A suitable office facility was located in Falkirk, and IKM were asked to undertake the necessary space planning, statutory approvals and construction drawings. 

Solution

Our proposals modified the existing building layout to provide:

  • Open plan office for approx 80, within ‘team' areas
  • Private offices/ quiet rooms for team leaders
  • Breakout areas and eating facilities
  • Meeting rooms and conference room
  • Reception area
  • New shower and locker facilities.
