Brief
The work entailed assessment of sheet piles and hollow steel piles suffering from accelerated low water corrosion.
IKM carried out detailed analysis of the integrity of the structure. Although the structure was suffering from considerable corrosion, an innovative solution was designed by IKM.
Outcome
By using sacrificial anodes, and other corrosion inhibitors, the structure was given a new lease of life. The investigation and innovative solution saved our client over £1.5m during the divestment of this facility.
