Brief

IKM were instructed to examine the integrity of an old piled dock with minimum disruption to site activity adjacent by the busy Aberdeen Harbour.  

Solution

IKM undertook a full condition survey to the underside of Maitland Quay utilising rope access, negating the requirement for scaffold platforms within tidal zones.

Outcome

Defects were recorded and a repair scheme developed. This ensured the structural integrity of the Quay and enabled our client to go on using the facility without the need for a costly replacement.
