Brief

IKM  Consulting Ltd were commissioned by a major National House builder to provide a civil and structural engineering design service for the construction of a new three-storey residential flatted development in Baillieston near Glasgow.

Solution

As the development was to be on a brownfield site, specialist contamination investigation reports had to be prepared. This role was undertaken by IKM Consulting Ltd and recommendations on ground remediation were prepared.

Outcome

As part of the brief, detailed design of the roads and sewers was carried out and an application for Roads Construction Consent was obtained along with approval from West of Scotland Water for the adoption of the drainage system.
