Brief

Innovene Manufacturing (Scotland) Ltd approached IKM Consulting for technical assistance with the structural appraisal of a unique arrangement of support towers and suspension cables for their product line adjacent to a road.

Solution

IKM had to prove the integrity of the existing structure, carry out a highly accurate site survey and undertake a modelling to demonstrate the safety existing system.

Outcome

IKM worked closely with specialist contractor Ropetech, to produce an innovative solution to enable the fatigued suspension cables to be replaced in-situ around live product lines.
