Brief

IKM Consulting Ltd were appointed to provide integrated architectural and engineering services for this new blast enhanced Control and Amenities Building to serve the Refinery Rail Loading Terminal.

Solution

The new Control Building provides an optimum working environment for the occupants, focusing on current safety and workplace requirements. The building is designed to protect its occupants from thermal radiation and blast overpressure in the event of an incident.

Outcome

It effectively combines the functional and industrial nature of the site with a comfortable and bright ‘human' element.
