Brief

IKM provided environmental support to the contractor carrying out construction of a 1.5km length of  new track for the East Coast Main Line between Edinburgh and Dunbar.

Solution

IKM advised on waste legislation compliance, dealing with water from construction and habitat creation on severed land. IKM also identified and addressed key noise sources on site and designed and monitored the effectiveness of noise barriers.

Outcome

This assistance allowed the successful implementation and monitoring of mitigation measures incorporated in the IKM Environmental Statement.
