Case Study: Bridge Link.

Brief

IKM were instructed to design a new path and a bridge connecting The River Avon Heritage Trail with the Union Canal. The aim was to provide an important link towards a future cross-Scotland walk.

Solution

IKM designed a dynamic, elevated structure using natural materials. The bridge was designed to enhance the experience of walking through the park whilst making the river crossing safe.

Outcome

The completed project  received commendation in the Scottish Enterprise Dynamic Place Awards 2002.
