Project Manager
IKM Consulting are involved in both the design and delivery of a range of projects for Clients in the petrochemical and commercial markets. To assist with project delivery, we are looking to recruit a construction professional with a proven track record in project delivery and clear customer liaison focus. The projects are based principally in the Central Belt although some travelling within the UK is expected.
A project manager will be required for the duration of projects which are scheduled to run for approximately 18 months.
The ideal candidate will be a chartered or nearly chartered construction professional with a degree in civil or structural engineering or architecture. Further education in construction or project management would be advantageous and experience of onsite project delivery would be considered essential. A Potential candidate with greater field experience would also be considered.
A good working knowledge of project management software and critical path analysis would be clear advantage.
The candidate must be self motivated with good communication skills at all levels and an ability to demonstrate competence, drive and enthusiasm. A clean current driving licence is required.

Quantity Surveyor / Cost Control Engineer
IKM Consulting Ltd are currently working on a number of high profile projects for a range of blue chip clients.
We are looking for a qualified Quantity Surveyor or Cost Engineer with a minimum of five years experience in civil engineering structures and buildings. The ideal candidate will have some petrochemical experience for onshore facilities and be familiar with a range of Specifications and Conditions of Contract including ICE, Red Book and JCT.
The ideal candidate should have good written and verbal skills, excellent technical knowledge and an enthusiastic “can do” attitude.
Daily duties will include:
· Preparation of building, civil and structural contract documents.
· Preparation of pricing schedules and Bills of Quantities to CESSM3 and SMM7.
· Preparation of construction cost estimates.
· Project cash flow predictions and reviews.
· Project budget control, reporting and valuations.
The position offers an attractive package for the right candidate and can be either on a contract basis or permanent staff. A clean current driving licence is required.
